The Golden State Warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies 142-112 in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals, taking a 2-1 lead in the series.
The Warriors shot 63.1% from the field with a 76.1 true shooting percentage, both tied for second in NBA playoff history.
Steph Curry scored a game-high 30 points, with Jordan Poole adding 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting. Klay Thompson had 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting.
“When we trust each other and we just hit the open man, we’ve got so much great shooting that we’re capable of nights like this,” said Thompson.
While the focus was on the Warriors’ offensive display, Draymond Green highlighted Poole’s defensive effort.
“I thought it was beautiful the way he was attacking offensively, but even more so I thought it was incredible how he defended and competed on that side of the ball,” said Green.
Steve Kerr added that patience was the key to the Warriors’ explosion.
“It was a performance that I knew was in them,” Kerr said. “On tape, we saw that if we were a little more patient and a little more poised that we could get some good shots.”
Game 4 is on Monday.
