The Sacramento Kings are pursuing a second consecutive playoff berth after years without a postseason appearance. The Kings are making sure that forward Keegan Murray will be a part of that pursuit.
Sacramento has told teams that they won’t put Murray into any trade packages. The Kings see the second-year forward as part of their core. Despite rumors of the team chasing star-level upgrades, those proposals won’t feature Murray.
As a rookie, Murray helped Sacramento snap a 16-year playoff drought. Murray averaged 12.2 points on 45% shooting, including 41.1% from behind the arc. In his second year, Murray is off to a bit of a slow start shooting-wise, but the Kings remain high on his potential as part of their core along with De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.
