Phoenix Suns’ standout Kevin Durant adds another accolade to his illustrious career, securing his 14th NBA All-Star Game selection as a starter for the Western Conference.
Durant’s selection, placing him third among Western Conference frontcourt players in player, fan, and media voting, comes with a significant financial reward.
ESPN NBA Front Office insider Bobby Marks revealed that Durant has earned a $1.2 million bonus for being selected to the All-Star game, a bonus deemed likely due to his selection in 2023.
Expressing gratitude, Durant took to X, saying, “Thanks to the fans, media, and most importantly my peers for voting me into my 14th All-Star game. Can’t wait to lock in and hoop with some of the greatest ever in Indy.”
This season, the 35-year-old Durant has showcased his enduring brilliance, averaging 29.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in 37.1 minutes per game, reaffirming his status as one of the game’s premier players.
