The reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Month, Kevin Durant, is seemingly getting new acknowledgments every other day with more of them to come shortly. It took Durant just ten days over a four-game span to pass Allen Iverson for 25th all-time and then Ray Allen for the 24th spot on the leaderboard.
KD has tallied 24,484 points in his career going into Brooklyn’s matchup with the Chicago Bulls. Even though the Nets lost 111-107 to the Bulls, Durant’s 28 points gave him enough to pass Allen’s 24,505 points with 24,512.

The historical play happened at the 5:40 mark in the fourth quarter with Durant coming off a screen receiving the pass from James Harden. Like many other times in his career, Durant pulled up and knocked down the shot to take his spot in NBA history.

Kevin Durant is having yet another MVP-caliber season leading the League in scoring at 28.6 points per game. Right now, that ranks as the third-highest mark of his 14-year career. At this pace, it would take around 11 more games to catch Patrick Ewing, who stands at 24,815 points. Jerry West will be in the Easy Sniper’s sights shortly afterward at 25,192 points.
