Josh Hart will obtain his full salary for the 2022-2023 in the Portland Trail Blazers (h/t Aaron J. Fentress of OregonLive.com).
The club didn’t waive him this Saturday, resulting for the 27-year-old guard to be fully guaranteed in his earnings next season worth $12.9 million.
Should he not be traded this offseason, Hart is being considered a complementing starting backcourt partner for franchise cornerstone Damian Lillard moving forward.
Portland acquired the rights of Hart upon their trade with the New Orleans Pelicans last season, in which they shipped C.J. McCollum and Larry Nance Jr. to the Big Easy to widen their cap space for flexibility in extending the recently-acquired Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons.
In the 13 games he played representing Rip City last season, Hart pulled off an average of 19.9 points, 5.4 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.2 steals in 50 percent shooting.
