Superleague 1 top team – Khimki (16-2) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed tenth ranked CSKA-2 (8-10) in Moscow 75-52. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CSKA-2. Fedor Klyuchnikov notched 14 points to lead the effort. Even 9 points and 7 rebounds by Pavel Zakharov did not help to save the game for CSKA-2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Khimki have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-2 record. Loser CSKA-2 keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Kupol-Rodniki. Khimki will meet Zenit-2 (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CSKA-2 will play against Univ.Surgut and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

TSU dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tambov‘s 34 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. TSU looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Tambov‘s players.
