Former NBA player JJ Redick is once again the frontrunner for the Los Angeles Lakers head coaching job.
Redick was initially the leading candidate before the Lakers pursued UConn’s Dan Hurley. Following Hurley’s decision to stay at UConn, New Orleans Pelicans associate head coach James Borrego emerged as the main contender. Now, Redick has seemingly reclaimed his position as the favorite.
According to Marc Stein on Substack, Redick appears to have regained his status as the top choice for the Lakers’ coaching role, provided he still wants the job.
