Jimmy Butler Calls Out Bucks for Tampering Following Dame Trade

The Bucks have pulled off the trade of the summer after landing Damian Lillard, but Miami’s Jimmy Butler thinks some tampering has gone on.

The superstar guard was linked to Miami for most of the offseason after he requested a trade away from Portland in July.

Lillard made it very clear the Heat was his number one destination.

But Milwaukee swooped in and landed the 33-year-old to pair with two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

It’s hard to tell if Jimmy is just trolling with his comments about tampering or if he’s being legit.

“Yo NBA… y’all need to look into the Bucks for tampering,” Butler said on his Instagram story on Wednesday. “Y’all do. I’m just going to put that out there. Y’all didn’t hear it from me but I heard it through somebody, y’all look at them for tampering.”

Maybe Butler is mad that Lillard won’t be his partner in crime?

Jimmy’s teammate Tyler Herro, who could have been a trade piece if Lillard did go to Miami, took to X to back up his claims.

“What he said,” Herro wrote.

Other NBA players also reacted in disbelief to the trade news.

“Losing Jrue is Big,” New Sixers recruit Patrick Beverley said on X. “That’s all imma say.”

The Suns were the third team involved in the blockbuster trade and Adrian Wojnarowski explains the breakdown.

“Portland will receive Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, Milwaukee’s 2029 unprotected first-round draft pick, and unprotected Milwaukee swap rights in 2028 and 2030, sources told Wojnarowski,” he wrote.

“The Suns will receive Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson, sources told Wojnarowski.”

Miami still may get a chance to land a solid player. There is speculation that they could go after Holiday after he was traded to Portland.
