As swingman Jaylen Brown continues to be rusty in the last five games he had following a hamstring injury, there will always be one teammate within the Boston Celtics huddle who got his back through thick and thin.

And that is his co-star in the Beantown franchise, Jayson Tatum.

After a challenging Wednesday battle wherein the C’s escaped via 88-87 score against heated rival Philadelphia 76ers, Tatum, who tallied 26 points and 16 rebounds, offered a heartwarming message to Brown.

“I’m gonna be there for him, like he’s been there for me,” told Tatum. “When we get down sometimes, we’re just there for each other.

“I tell him he’s gonna be the best version of Jaylen Brown. And he’s gonna be.”

Brown had another off-night showing, finishing the match with only 9 markers from 3-of-11 shooting splits. Though he was inconsistent, Tatum still made it sure that he is making good progress — that one day, things will get only better.

A touching sentiment, as these two have grown together since 2017-2018 season. Now as they are the undisputed faces of the Celtics organization who are trying to lead the green nation to its 17th title banner, they will only help each other when tough times are bothering.
