J.R. Smith found a new passion since retiring from the NBA in 2020. The two-time NBA champion started playing golf seriously.
He did get a chance to play legendary Michael Jordan who is also big on golf. MJ is also known for his competitiveness and trash talking his opponents regardless of what the sport or game is being played.
Smith told a story of him playing against Jordan who took a jab at his NBA career, saying that it was good, but not great.

“He smoked me,” Smith said. “He threw this jab at me low-key. So we were betting right and I doubled down on one of my bets. He said, ‘Alright, what’s the game?’ I’m like, ‘We gon’ play a Nassau.’ I said, ‘Whoa, $100, not $1000.’ He said, ‘I know what you meant… You had a good career, not a great career. What do you want me to say?’ It was great for me.”
