Heat’s Thomas Bryant and Pelicans’ Jose Alvarado were suspended three games each for leaving the bench area and fighting during an on-court altercation. Jimmy Butler and Naji Marshall face one-game suspensions for instigating the incident.
Heat’s Nikola Jovic also receives a one-game suspension for entering the altercation from the bench area. The altercation began when Kevin Love wrapped up Zion Williamson during a layup attempt, leading to a shoving match between Marshall and Butler.
The incident escalated, resulting in ejections for Bryant, Alvarado, Butler, and Marshall. Miami eventually won the game.
