This summer Deandre Ayton will have to make a decision about his future. The 23-year-old center is set to become a restricted free agent with multiple teams interested in acquiring him.
One of those teams is the Hawks, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. However, he does not expect the Suns to let the former number one draft pick to just walk away.
Instead, Phoenix will most likely look for a sign-and-trade in this situation in order to get some assets back for Ayton.
Via HoopsHype:
“Jake Fischer: Atlanta is definitely another team that I’ve heard for Ayton. There’s one person I talked to pretty consistently who’s like convinced Ayton is the guy that Atlanta wants.”
This past season Ayton averaged 17.2 points and 10.2 rebounds in 29.5 minutes per game for the Suns.
