Killian Tillie’s solid play while the Memphis Grizzlies have navigated injuries and health and safety protocol absences has paid off. Memphis signed Tillie to a two-year, $4 million contract.
While on his second Two-Way contract with the Grizzlies, Tillie has averaged 3.4 points per game.
In order to open the roster spot for Tillie, Memphis waived guard Sam Merrill. The Grizzlies took a $1.5 million cap hit in dead money by waiving Merrill off his fully guaranteed contract. Merrill is expected to miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season after ankle surgery.
To fill their open Two-Way spot, Memphis signed guard Tyrell Terry. Terry had been with the Grizzlies on a 10-day hardship contract.
