Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was pleased with the way his team played in the loss against the 76ers. He saw progress that his team is making and hoped that it would help in the postseason.
However, reaching the postseason is not guaranteed for Los Angeles. Sitting in ninth place in the Western Conference, the Lakers are just two games above the eleventh-place Spurs. A couple of more losses could eliminate the purple and gold.
Vogel was asked about the small period of time his team has to improve its game and the real risk of dropping out of the play-in zone.
“We’re gonna have a belief and confidence that we’re gonna get in those play-in games and win those play-in games,” Vogel said after the Sixers game. “I feel good about where we’re going and where our direction is and where we’re going to be 10 games, 9 games from now.”
