In the closing moments of the game, Keenan Evans secured a 74-73 lead for Zalgiris with a crucial play, contributing a total of 11 points. Despite having the opportunity to clinch the victory, Leandro Bolmaro’s final shot fell short.

Bayern coach Pablo Laso acknowledged, “We had the last shot to win it, but this is basketball.”

Zalgiris now holds a 4-5 record, while Bayern’s standing dropped to 3-6. Rolands Smits was the top scorer for the hosts with 16 points, and Tomas Dimsa added 14 points.

Serge Ibaka had a standout performance, scoring 20 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and blocking two shots – his best EuroLeague game yet. His three-pointer gave Bayern a 73-72 lead with 28 seconds remaining.

Bolmaro concluded the game with 12 points, and Nick Weiler-Babb contributed 11 points.
