A possible LeBron James-Kyrie Irving reunion in downtown Los Angeles doesn’t strike any fear to Draymond Green.
Green believes that while the Lakers can truly contend with both James and Irving, he still posted a remark that must be noted very well.
The star big man claimed that they still cannot beat him and the reigning champion Golden State Warriors.
“With LeBron James, if you give them someone like Kyrie… they’ll have a chance because of the way Kyrie can score the basketball. LeBron will only put him in a position to do that. Kyrie has not proven to be a great leader. LeBron will put an umbrella over that. If you can do what you’re good at, you have LeBron leading…
“They could contend, but they won’t beat us.”

Rumors came up huge about the complicated relationship between Irving and the Brooklyn Nets this month, as reports have indicated that both sides are already at an impasse of discussing a contract extension. As such, the All-star guard is leaning to decline his player option and ink a bigger paycheck with the said team.
Should Irving be denied by this idea entering July, the Los Angeles Lakers are rumored as a strong candidate to pursue him.
But for now, time can only tell what will happen next – which can truly affect the balance of power in the NBA.
