Game notes: The Pistons lost Tuesday night in Philadelphia, so Minnesota, which last played Sunday, has an enormous rest advantage. The T’wolves have been one of the most disappointing teams of the NBA’s first half, but have won four straight to sneak into ninth in the Western Conference, all without Karl-Anthony Towns (calf). The Pistons defeated them New Year’s Eve in Minnesota, 116-104. Third-year guard Anthony Edwards leads them in scoring at 23.7 points per game, and Rudy Gobert (14 points, 11.9 rebounds, 1.4 blocks) anchors the defense that ranks 14th in net rating. The offense is 18th. The Pistons are bottom five in both categories. Edwards (hip) was listed as questionable to play but should be available on Wednesday night.
