After all the murmurs that a reunion could finally take place, the Denver Nuggets’ probable intent to sign Carmelo Anthony this offseason is nothing but a mere fantasy.

Clarified by Nuggets reporter Mike Singer as told by his inside source, there is a “zero” chance that the club will reignite a partnership with their former star in Anthony.

Recently, whispers went loud that the future hall of famer might land in the Mile High City as what league circles have speculated. But the fact that Denver already has a full 15-man lineup literally shatters this possible signing.

Anthony was drafted by the Nuggets for the third overall pick of the 2003 Draft. Being the main man and focal point of offense, he led them in every postseason of his tenure there from 2004 to 2010. In 2009, he charged Denver into its first Conference Finals since 1985.

Along with Chauncey Billups, he was shipped to the New York Knicks in midseason of the 2010-2011 campaign.

Anthony, 38, remains unsigned after his one-year stint with the Los Angeles Lakers. As such, some notable postseason or title-aspiring teams may find interest to give him a shot for another season.
