This appears imminent for Primo, who has played extended minutes without injured guard Devin Vessell. Head coach Gregg Popovich defended the decision to put Primo back in the G-League, saying the stint will help improve his maturity. 

Popovich said: We want him to have more time in Austin for obvious reasons. He needs to mature in every shape and form because of his age.
