Sacramento Kings’ guard Davion Mitchell and Brooklyn Nets’ guard Cam Thomas have been named co-MVPs of the 2021 Summer League.
Mitchell, the number nine pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, averaged 10.8 points and 5.8 assists in five Summer League games, per the NBA.
Thomas, the number 27 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, averaged a league-leading 27.0 points in four Summer League games, per the NBA.
It seems the two players, Mitchell and Thomas, were honored for opposite reasons; the former for team-success and the latter for individual success.
Mitchell led the Kings to a perfect 5-0 record and the Summer League championship.
Thomas dominated the competition by scoring at all three levels.
The future certainly looks bright for these two rookies.
