Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard has given no indication he’d like to be trade. In fact, Lillard has regularly said the exact opposite. However, teams still harbor dreams of acquiring the star.
As for Lillard, if he was to leave Portland, the New York Knicks are reportedly the team he’d like to be traded to. On NBA Countdown, Stephen A. Smith said Lillard would angle for a trade to New York if it came to that.
Smith also said that there are folks in Lillard’s camp that wish he would give the Philadelphia 76ers stronger consideration.
Lillard’s future in Portland has been under constant speculation. The Blazers failure to build a contender around him has many believing a trade is inevitable. The team’s recent firing of basketball operations leader Neil Olshey has started the speculation cycle once again.
