Chris Paul After Coming Off Bench For First Time: ‘Whatever I’ve Got To Do To Help Our Team Win’

Chris Paul said he’s willing to sacrifice to help the Golden State Warriors win after coming off the bench for the first time in his career on Sunday.

“It’s whatever I’ve got to do to help our team win. So if that means this, if it means not finishing some games or whatnot, you know, if you get a chance to play long enough in your career, there’s things that’s going to change, there’s things that’s going to be different and I’m here,” said Paul following the Warriors’ 106-95 win over the Rockets on Sunday.

Paul finished the game with 8 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Paul had started 1,365 games before the game, representing the most career starts before coming off the bench for the first time in league history.

Sources told ESPN last week that Paul will play the majority of his minutes with the bench unit this season.
