Though there are spiralling trade murmurs around him, Cedi Osman is keeping his professionalism and desire to help the Cleveland Cavaliers this upcoming season.
Osman admitted that he is aware of the ongoing rumblings, but reiterates that he is focused on playing basketball and helping the Cavs to win.
“I’ve been hearing those things,” Osman said, via Chris Fedor of cleveland.com. “But I’m just focused on my basketball because you cannot control that. That’s why whenever I stepped on a court I was just working on my game and trying to get better.
“It’s been six years since coming over, six years in Cleveland. I’m happy here and this is my home.”
The Turkish swingman has been stuck on a rumor mill for the past few days after his name appeared as a probable Jae Crowder trade candidate. It was revealed by several reports that the Cavs have their interest to trade for the disgruntled veteran from the Phoenix Suns.
Osman has been in the Cavs for the past five years of his NBA career. An admired fan favorite, he’s very well regarded due to his energy, impact and dirty works.
