The Cleveland Cavaliers will waive center Tacko Fall from his Two-Way contract. The Cavs will then sign point guard Brandon Goodwin to replace Fall. Goodwin is currently on a 10-Day hardship contract with Cleveland that will end on Monday.
Fall appeared in 11 games and played 59 minutes for the Cavaliers this season. The 7-foot-6 center spent the first two seasons of his NBA career with the Boston Celtics on Two-Way deals.
Goodwin is a three-year veteran who has also played for the Denver Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks. In three games with Cleveland, the point guard has averaged 7.3 points, 4.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per contest.
The Cavs have been looking for point guard depth behind Darius Garland after losing Collin Sexton and Ricky Rubio to season-ending knee injuries. Cleveland recently acquired Rajon Rondo to back up Garland.
