Cavaliers target Christian Wood, PJ Washington and Kelly Oubre Jr. in free agency

The Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly expressed interest in signing three unrestricted free agents for the upcoming season. According to Chris Fedor of cleveland.com, the Cavaliers are targeting Christian Wood, PJ Washington, and Kelly Oubre Jr.

Oubre Jr., who recently played for the Charlotte Hornets, could find himself on a new team following the Hornets’ acquisition of young forward Brandon Miller in the draft. The 27-year-old shooting guard had an outstanding season, averaging career-highs of 20.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.

His teammate, PJ Washington, a 24-year-old power forward, also drew the Cavaliers’ attention with his strong performances. Washington averaged 15.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game during the previous season.

Additionally, the Cavaliers have shown interest in Christian Wood, a 27-year-old center who played for the Dallas Mavericks. Wood displayed his skills on both ends of the court, contributing an average of 16.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
