Bronny James is expected to return to the court “in the very near future,” according to a family statement.
James suffered cardiac arrest during a July workout. The likely cause was a congenital heart defect.
“We are very confident in Bronny’s full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future. We will continue to provide updates to media and respectfully reiterate the family’s request for privacy,” said the family in a statement.
James was discharged from the hospital three days after the incident.
