Valencia stormed past Zaragoza in the latest preseason clash. Boubacar Toure (213-C-1995, college: EMU) posted 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the winners.
Zaragoza grabbed a 25-19 lead after the opening frame. Valencia however limited their opponents to just 9 points in the second period to take a 38-24 halftime lead. Valencia used a 23-11 run in the third period to secure a comfortable 26-point buffer and raced to the win in the final stanza. Chris Jones (188-G-1993, college: Angelo St.) tossed in 14 points, while Josep Puerto (199-SF-1999) added 13 points for Valencia. Mark Smith (193-SG-1999, college: Kansas St.) replied with 14 points for Zaragoza. Dejan Kravic (210-C-1990, college: Texas Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) had 13 points in the loss.
