Derek Pardon
25-year old center Derek Pardon (203-C-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for H.Beer Sheva and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat H.Tel-Aviv (#7, 8-7) 77-65. H.Beer Sheva maintains the 10th position in Israeli league. H.Beer Sheva is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-9 record. Pardon has many years of experience at H.Beer Sheva, through which he has constantly improved. Northwestern University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pardon is in league’s top in rebounds (2nd best: 9.1rpg) and averages solid 1.7bpg and 56.1% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Tu Holloway (183-PG-1989) of M.Rishon. He is American guard in his first (recently joined) season at M.Rishon. In the last game Holloway recorded impressive 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as M.Rishon was edged by the higher-ranked Bnei Hertzeliya (#1, 10-5) 92-88. M.Rishon are still at the very bottom. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories M.Rishon managed to get this year. Holloway is one of the most experienced players at M.Rishon and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#5). He also recorded 5.0 assists per game.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Yair Kravits (195-G-1999, agency: Avi Zilberman) of league’s leader Bnei Hertzeliya. Kravits scored 21 points. He was a key player of Bnei Hertzeliya, leading his team to a 92-88 win against the lower-ranked M.Rishon (#12, 4-12). Bnei Hertzeliya confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 5 lost games. Kravits has a very solid season. In 15 games in Israel he scored 6.9ppg.
