28-year old guard Josh Fortune (196-G-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for Randers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 16 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Randers in his team’s victory, helping them to outclass Herlev (#6, 11-18) with 31-point margin 85-54. Randers maintains the 3rd position in Danish league. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Randers will need more victories to improve their 23-6 record. In the team’s last game Fortune had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Randers’ top player in his first season with the team. University of Colorado graduate has very impressive stats this year. Fortune is in league’s top in points (4th best: 20.1ppg), rebounds (6th best: 7.9rpg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 57.7% FGP. Worth to mention Fortune played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Durell Vinson (201-C-1985) of Copenhagen. He is American center in his second season at Copenhagen. In the last game Vinson recorded impressive 24 points and 6 rebounds. Of course Copenhagen cruised to a 86-79 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked BAC (#9, 9-19). Copenhagen’s 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 13-15 record. Vinson is well-known at Copenhagen and he already established his position as one of the team’s leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Tope Arikawe (203-F-1995, agency: One Motive Sports) of Svendborg (#5). Arikawe scored 20 points and passed four assists. Despite Arikawe’s great performance Svendborg lost 89-99 to the higher-ranked Bakken (#1, 23-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Svendborg ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just fourteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Arikawe could help Svendborg to bring them higher in the standings. Arikawe has a very solid season. In 27 games in Denmark he scored 7.8ppg. He also has 4.7rpg and FGP: 52.2%. Arikawe attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
