Leader Monaco delivered the twenty fifth win on Sunday night. This time they beat 18th ranked Provence Basket (8-20) 98-83. Monaco made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Provence Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Guinean-American forward Alpha Diallo (201-1997, college: Providence) who scored 30 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Mike James (185-1990, college: Lamar) chipped in 19 points. Jamaican center Shevon Thompson (213-1993, college: GMU) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Provence Basket’s coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monaco (25-5) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Provence Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Monaco are looking forward to face SIG Strasbourg (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Provence Basket will play against JL Bourg (#5) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.

They maintain first place with 25-5 record. JDA Dijon at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Monaco will play against SIG Strasbourg (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JDA Dijon will play against Sluc Nancy (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Blois, where higher ranked Le Mans (15-14) lost to sixteenth ranked ADA Blois (11-18) in a road game 68-72 on Saturday. Amadou Sow stepped up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Matt Morgan responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. ADA Blois moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser Le Mans keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. ADA Blois will meet higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (#14) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Le Mans will play against Paris (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 29 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Roanne was defeated by Cholet in a road game 81-74. Gravelines beat Pau-Lacq-Orthez at home 70-58. Nanterre lost to Bourg on the opponent’s court 81-93. Paris managed to outperform Nancy in a home game 99-91. Dijon recorded a loss to Strasbourg on the road 75-93. ASVEL defeated Le Portel on its own court 86-68. Limoges was beaten by Le Mans in a road game 77-71.


Blois – Le Mans 72-68

We should mention about the upset which took place in Blois, where higher ranked Le Mans (15-14) lost to sixteenth ranked ADA Blois (11-18) in a road game 68-72 on Saturday.
