Experienced Croatian-American Duje Dukan (208-F-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for Zwolle and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7 (Second Stage).
The 31-year old forward had the game-high 30 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Zwolle in his team’s victory, helping them to edge out Mechelen (#3, 6-1) 84-81. Zwolle is placed at 8th position in BNXT-League. The team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings in Second Stage. They lost 5 games and had just two victories. In the team’s last game Dukan had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Zwolle’s top player in his first season with the team. Duje Dukan averages this season 16.0ppg and 5.6rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young American guard Stephaun Branch (196-G-1995, agency: Slash Sports) of Groningen. Branch impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Groningen to another comfortable win 69-55 over slightly higher-ranked Charleroi (#4, 3-4) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Groningen to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Branch is one of the most experienced players at Groningen and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Montenegrin Ivan Maras (207-PF-1986) of top-ranked Aalst. Maras scored 17 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Aalst, leading his team to a 77-76 win against the lower-ranked Den Helder (#9, 1-6). Aalst confirms their top position in the standings. Maras has a great season in BNXT-League. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 10.6rpg (3rd best).

5. Vince Cole (198-G/F-1998) of Yoast United – 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Sigfredo Casero-Ortiz (185-PG-1997) of Yoast United – 21 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Job Kayhan (201-F-2000) of Amsterdam – 15 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Richmond Aririguzoh (206-C-1998) of Mechelen – 22 points and 11 rebounds
9. KeVaughn Allen (188-G-1995) of Leuven – 27 points and 3 assists
10. Chris-Ebou Ndow (201-F-1993) of Den Bosch – 20 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
