Leverkusen – Muenster 79-84

There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Leverkusen (7-7) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Muenster (5-9) 84-79 on Sunday. Muenster forced 19 Leverkusen turnovers. Forward Oskar Humpert (201-2005) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Mats Niggemann (189-2005) chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Fotis Hristopoulos (193-2004) responded with 19 points and Dutch center Stef Van Bussel (208-2004) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Muenster moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Tornados. Loser Leverkusen keeps the fourth position with seven games lost.
