Al-Gharafa-Doha (QBL) agreed terms with 27-year old American power forward Leon Gilmore III (201cm-98kg-1995, college: SF Austin). Gilmore played recently at Prizreni in Kosovan Superliga, but left. In 5 games he had 8.6ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.0spg this season.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in six different countries. Gilmore tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Lanus), Latvia (Jekabpils), Mexico (Ostioneros de Guaymas), Philippines (TNT Tropang), Puerto Rico (Capitanes) and NBA G League (Texas Legends and Wisconsin Gilmorerd).
He won NBA G League Central Division championship title in 2020.
Gilmore graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2018 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.
