The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. Bucuresti E. outrebounded Stomart Iasi 47-36 including 17 on the offensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by Stomart Iasi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Dimitris Petzalis (-1995) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Toma Lungoci who led the winners and scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Victor Georgescu came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds for Sibiu 2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cluj CSU will meet Rm Valcea II in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sibiu 2 will play against Brasov and hope to secure a win.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Rm Valcea II smashed Laguna on the road 95-56. Agronomia destroyed Craiova 2 on its own court 82-54. Brasov managed to outperform Ploiesti CSU in a road game 79-68.

Laguna – Rm Valcea II 56-95
No shocking result in a game when Rm Valcea II (3-0) crushed Laguna (0-3) in Bucuresti 95-56 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rm Valcea II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Laguna’s 26. Rm Valcea II forced 27 Laguna turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Laguna’s players. It was an exceptional evening for center Nicolae-Marian Ciuca (200-1999) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Lamar Hamrick (193-1998, college: Portland St., agency: Haylett Sports) accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Hamrick is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Rm Valcea II players scored in double figures. Robert Spoitoru (-2005) came up with 20 points and Radu David (-2004) added 11 points respectively for Laguna in the defeat.
