Bahamas Power forward Aaron Levarity (203-PF-1997) had an amazing evening in the last round for Lyon, receiving a Hoops Agents NM1 Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Orchies (#3, 18-8) 78-70. Lyon is placed at 8th position in French NM1. Lyon is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-14 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Levarity as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Former Milligan College star has very solid stats this year. Levarity is in league’s top in rebounds (3rd best: 8.8rpg) and averages impressive 64.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round’s games was young American Andell Cumberbatch (195-SF-1993) of league’s leader Rouen. Cumberbatch had a very good evening with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Rouen to another comfortable win 80-63 over the lower-ranked Hyeres-Toulon (#13, 5-21) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Rouen still keep Group B’s top spot. His team lost just five games this season, while they won 21 matches. Cumberbatch is a newcomer at Rouen, but is already one of team’s top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Lithuanian forward Gilvydas Biruta (206-F-1991) of Challans (#8). Biruta scored 22 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Biruta’s great performance Challans lost 69-73 to slightly higher-ranked Lorient (#7, 14-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Challans ranking at the top of Group A, however are very questionable as they have already lost 14 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Biruta could help Challans to bring them higher in the standings. Biruta has a very solid season. In 24 games in France he scored 12.0ppg. He also has 6.0rpg and FGP: 51.8%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
