Swingman Jure Span (193-G/F-1995, agency: PEPI SPORT) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Rogaska, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, five rebounds and four assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to edge out LTH Castings (#9, 5-13) 87-84. Rogaska maintains the 4th position in Slovenian Liga Nova KBM. Rogaska is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-9 record. In the team’s last game Span had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Rogaska’s top player in his first season with the team. Former University of South Carolina Upstate star has very solid stats this year. Span is in league’s top in points (5th best: 16.1ppg) and assists (3rd best: 6.6apg).

The second best player in last round’s games was young Bosnia and Herzegovina Simo Atanackovic (207-F-1990) of Terme Olimia. Atanackovic had a very good evening with 30 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Terme Olimia to another comfortable win 95-80 over slightly lower-ranked Ilirija (#7, 7-11) being unquestionably team leader. Terme Olimia’s 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Atanackovic is one of the most experienced players at Terme Olimia and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#3). He also registered 6.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Tim Tomazic (197-F-1999) of Sentjur (#6). Tomazic scored 19 points and passed nine assists. He was a key player of Sentjur, leading his team to a 74-57 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Hopsi Polzela (#8, 6-12). The chances of Sentjur ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Tomazic could help Sentjur to bring them higher in the standings. Tomazic has a great season in Slovenia. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 7.1rpg (3rd best).
