Jalen Tate
American Jalen Tate (198-SF-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Peja, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, nine rebounds and six assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Rahoveci (#8, 2-18) 82-76. It allowed Peja to consolidate first place in the Kosovan Superliga. Peja have a solid 14-3 record. In the team’s last game Tate had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Peja’s top player in his first season with the team. Jalen Tate averages this season 13.9ppg.
The second best player in last round’s games was young Slovenian power forward Gezim Morina (204-PF-1992, agency: BIG) of Ylli. Morina had a very good evening with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Ylli to another comfortable win 75-58 over the lower-ranked Bashkimi (#6, 7-12) being unquestionably team leader. Ylli’s 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team’s 14-5 record is not bad at all. Morina is well-known at Ylli and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.
Third on the list of top players last round was another Peja’s star – international guard Arti Hajdari (190-SG-1993). Hajdari got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds and four assists. He was another key player of Peja, helping his team with a 82-76 win against the lower-ranked Rahoveci (#8, 2-18). Peja confirms their top position in the standings. Hajdari has a very solid season. In 17 games in Kosovo he scored 9.8ppg. He also has FGP: 50.7% and 3PT: 41.2%.
