Marko Tejic (209-C/F-1995) had a great game in the last round for league’s leader Zlatibor and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 27-year old had a double-double of 22 points and ten rebounds, while his team beat Sloboda U. (#11, 7-12) 81-71. It allowed Zlatibor to consolidate first place in the Serbian KLS. Zlatibor have a solid 16-3 record. In the team’s last game Tejic had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Zlatibor’s top player in his first season with the team. Marko Tejic averages this season 12.6ppg and 6.7rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young swingman Stefan Simic (198-F/G-1996) of Vrsac. Simic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Vrsac to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Dunav SB (#15, 5-14) 110-88. Vrsac’s 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 11-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Simic is a newcomer at Vrsac and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Vrsac’s star – Slobodan Jovanovic (193-SG-1997). Jovanovic showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, ten rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of Vrsac, helping his team with a 110-88 easy win against the lower-ranked Dunav SB (#15, 5-14). Vrsac needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 8 lost games. Jovanovic has a very solid season. In 18 games in Serbia he scored 9.8ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
