The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Triglav (11-2) in Kranj on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Jezica (8-4) 54-52. The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 20-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Aljaz Bratec (192-1998) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Matic Vesel (206-1998, college: Illinois) contributed with 6 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. point guard Crt Cabrilo (182-2004) answered with 15 points for Triglav. Jezica have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Troti. Triglav at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Jezica is looking forward to face Nova Gorica (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Triglav will play against Portoroz (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
2SKL top team – Triglav (11-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Portoroz (6-6) 102-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Portoroz. Guard Jan Macek (194-2001, agency: PEPI SPORT) stepped up and scored 26 points and 4 assists for the winners and Lovro Urbiha chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side Tim Skerbec (200-1993) responded with 21 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Triglav maintains first place with 11-2 record. Portoroz at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Triglav will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Portoroz will play again at home against the league’s leader Triglav (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Troti – Postojna 81-71
Very expected game when 11th ranked Postojna (2-10) lost on the road to fifth ranked Troti (8-4) 81-71. It looked good early as Postojna took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Troti had a 23-19 second period charge getting the lead and Postojna was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-81. Troti made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Center Blaz Janezic (202-2000) stepped up and scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Jure Prus (184-1996, college: Northwood) chipped in 14 points. At the losing side forward Miha Kodric (196-1997) responded with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Milan Petrovic (-2004) scored 20 points. Four Postojna players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Troti moved-up to third place, which they share with Jezica. Postojna at the other side keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Troti will play against league’s second-placed Jance in Ljubljana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Postojna will play on the road against Celje (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Sezana (7-5) rolled over at home bottom-ranked Celje (1-10) 107-88. The game was mostly controlled by Sezana. Celje was better in second period 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three nailing 20 long-distance shots on high 52.6 percentage. Sezana players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists.
