ABA League is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 3 rounds left. The round 3 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Bosnian Borac BL (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed Croatian Gorica (0-3) in Velika Gorica 96-54. Borac BL looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gorica’s players. It was a good game for forward Amsal Delalic (202-2003, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian center Dusan Tanaskovic (208-2001, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. point guard Toni Jelenkovic (182-1997) answered with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for Gorica. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Borac BL is looking forward to face Spars (#9) in Sarajevo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gorica will play on the road against Helios Suns in Domzale and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Osijek supposed to be also worth to mention about. Slovenian Helios Suns (3-0) played at the court of Croatian Osijek (1-2). Helios Suns smashed Osijek 107-72. It was a great evening for Croatian power forward Lovro Buljevic (211-1998) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Austin Luke helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. Helios Suns’ coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Veljko Budimir (198-1985) with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Helios Suns will play against Gorica (#11) in Velika Gorica in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Osijek will have a break next round.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Krka beat Podgorica on the road 72-60. Sloga KR won against Spars on its own court 84-72. Zlatibor managed to outperform TFT in Cajetina 90-76. Winless Sencur Gor. lost to undefeated Sutjeska at home 63-70.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 13 points by Aleksandar Langovic of Borac BL.
Podgorica – Krka 60-72
No shocking result in a game when Slovenian Krka (3-0) beat on the road Montenegrin Podgorica (0-3) 72-60. They outrebounded Podgorica 38-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Croatian-Slovenian point guard Rok Stipcevic (186-1986, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Montenegrin power forward Radosav Spasojevic (204-1992, agency: PEPI SPORT) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was Swiss guard Selim Fofana (193-1999) with 14 points and forward Danilo Brnovic (200-2000) scored 12 points. Krka will play against TFT (#14) in Skopje in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Podgorica will play on the road against Sloga KR in Kraljevo and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

Sloga KR – Spars 84-72
There was a minor upset when Bosnian Spars (1-2) lost to Serbian Sloga KR (1-2) in Kraljevo 72-84. Sloga KR outrebounded Spars 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American swingman Dimitrius Underwood (193-1998, college: Charleston) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds. Stefan Matovic (203-1991) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Haris Curevac (198-1996) with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian center Luka Majstorovic (208-1996, college: Embry Riddle, agency: SLN) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sloga KR will play against Podgorica (#12) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Spars will play against Borac BL (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
