Motiejus Krivas
Talented Motiejus Krivas (214-C-2004) had a great game in the last round for league’s leader Zalgiris and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 18-year old center had a double-double of 16 points and eleven rebounds, while his team outclassed P.Zvaigzdes (#10, 3-6) with 33-point margin 92-59. It allowed Zalgiris to consolidate first place in the Lithuanian LKL. Zalgiris have a solid 8-1 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Krivas as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Motiejus Krivas averages just after three games 11.0ppg and 5.3rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young Arminas Urbutis (206-C/F-1986) of Siauliai. Urbutis impressed basketball fans with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Siauliai was edged by slightly higher-ranked Juventus (#6, 5-4) 85-84. This loss caused Siauliai to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 4-5 record. Urbutis is one of the most experienced players at Siauliai and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Lukas Uleckas (199-G/F-1999) of Rytas (#4). Uleckas scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds. He was a key player of Rytas, leading his team to a 99-81 easy win against the lower-ranked Gargzdu (#11, 1-8). Rytas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Uleckas has a very solid season. In 9 games in Lithuania he scored 6.4ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
