17-year old swingman Arturas Vilutis (193-F/G-2005) had a very impressive game in the last round for league’s best team VKM and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 23 rebounds, while his team beat Panevezio (#7, 3-2) 100-93. It allowed VKM to consolidate first place in the Lithuanian league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but VKM already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team’s last game Vilutis had a remarkable 57.9% from 2-point range. It’s his second year at VKM and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Vilutis has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 14.3rpg. Vilutis is in league’s top in and averages solid 1.5bpg and 64.6% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Martynas Jakstys (190-G-2005) of Zalgiris I. He is a guard in his 2nd season at Zalgiris I. In the last game Jakstys recorded impressive double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led Zalgiris I to another comfortable win 86-70 over Perkunas (3-2) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Zalgiris I to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Jakstys is well-known at Zalgiris I and he already established his position as one of the team’s leaders.
Third place about best performers goes to another VKM’s star – guard Emilis Kargertas (183-PG-2005). Kargertas showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of VKM, helping his team with a 100-93 win against the lower-ranked Panevezio (#7, 3-2). VKM started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Kargertas turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Kargertas has a great season in Lithuania. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 18.3ppg (8th best).

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
