Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Mikkel Kolstad (193-1995, college: Nova SE) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Espen Fjaerestad (193-1994, college: UW-Parkside) who added 20 points during the contest. At the losing side Croatian power forward Nikola Roso (205-1995) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Froya Basket’s coach Hugo Salgado rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn’t help. Defending champion maintains th position with 0-0 record. Froya Basket at the other side keeps the third place with one game lost. Gimle are looking forward to face league’s second-placed Kongsberg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Froya Basket will play against Nidaros Jets and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

Stian Mjoes produced 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Undefeated Kongsberg have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Gimle BBK. Loser Baerum Basket dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Kongsberg will meet at home higher ranked Gimle in the next round. Baerum Basket will play against Tromso (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 4: winless Gimle destroyed Oppsal on the opponent’s court 96-66. Bottom-ranked Nidaros Jets managed to outperform Asker Aliens in a home game 69-57. Kongsberg rolled over Tromso on the road 97-76. Ammerud Bskt lost to defending champion Gimle on its own court 78-84. Centrum was smashed by Froya Basket in Laksevag 61-82. Winless Asker Aliens lost to Ammerud Bskt at home 69-87.

Fyllingen – Centrum 71-91

They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Serbian-Montenegrin center Milovan Savic (205-1987) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Morten Osland (183-1998) chipped in 24 points. Guard Thomas Ble (185-1989) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Jacob Tryon (211-1998, college: Samford) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Oppsal’s coach Jarl Jespersen gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains th position with 0-0 record. There was a small surprise in Tromdheim where eleventh ranked Nidaros Jets (1-6) defeated bottom-ranked Asker Aliens (0-5) 69-57 on Saturday. Nidaros Jets looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Jakob Baiden (194-1993) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Mikkel Aarnes (184-2000) chipped in 14 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. American guard Joshua Hart (194-1990, college: Va Intermont) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and Oliver Bergstad (-2004) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nidaros Jets left bottom position moving up to tenth place. It was Asker Aliens’ fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Nidaros Jets will meet higher ranked Froya Basket (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
