The Regular Season in KLS just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Dunav SB defeated Spartak in Stari Banovci 89-83. Dunav SB made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Guard Mihailo Petrovic (190-2003, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners and naturalized Bosnian forward Nikola Radovanovic (204-2003) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side swingman Filip Barna (201-1999) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak will play next round against Zdravlje trying to get back on the winning streak. Dunav SB will try to continue on its current victory against OKK Beograd at home.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of OKK Beograd at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Dynamic VP 84-79. Forward Mihailo Boskovic (205-2002) nailed 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Dusan Radosavljevic accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Stefan Miljenovic (190-2001, college: Slippery Rock) came up with 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists for OKK Beograd in the defeat. Dynamic VP will play against Mladost ZE in Zemun in the next round and are hoping to win another game. OKK Beograd will play on the road against Dunav SB in Stari Banovci to get more than just one victory in their record.
Very important is a road loss of Cacak 94 against Sloga KR on Saturday night. Visiting Cacak 94 was defeated by Sloga KR in a tough game in Kraljevo 97-104. Sloga KR will meet Kolubara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cacak 94 will play against Metalac VL and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 1: Sloboda U. destroyed Mladost ZE on the opponent’s court 110-78. Vrsac lost to Vojvodina NS in a home game 73-80. Tamis PN lost to Novi Pazar on the road 78-85. Zlatibor defeated Kolubara on its own court 77-64. Zdravlje lost to Metalac VL in Valjevo 70-79.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 18 points and 11 rebounds by Ibrahim Durmo of Metalac VL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of OKK Beograd at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Dynamic VP 84-79. Dynamic VP forced 19 OKK Beograd turnovers. Mladost ZE – Sloboda U. 78-110

But Mladost ZE was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Uzice 110-78 on Sunday night. Sloboda U. dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Mladost ZE’s 38. They outrebounded Mladost ZE 52-24 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sloboda U. looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Mladost ZE’s players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sloboda U. made 8 blocks. Aleksa Ilic (205-2000) fired 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Lazar Nekic (213-1999, college: LMU) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Sloboda U. players scored in double figures. Forward Marko Milenkovic (200-1999) produced 17 points and forward Vuk Dobrasinovic (202-2002) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sloboda U. will meet at home Vrsac in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Mladost ZE will play against Dynamic VP in Beograd and hope to win that game.

But Vrsac was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Novi Sad 80-73 on Saturday night. Vojvodina NS will meet at home Novi Pazar in the next round. Vrsac will play against Sloboda U. in Uzice and hope to win that game.

Novi Pazar – Tamis PN 85-78

Novi Pazar used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Pancevo 85-78 on Saturday night. Swingman Bogdan Mikavica (194-1999) fired 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Tarik Bruncevic (205-1995) chipped in 18 points. Four Novi Pazar players scored in double figures. Forward Branisalav Terzic (196-1997) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and American-Jamaican guard Josh Nicholas (190-1998, college: ULM) added 26 points respectively for lost side. Tamis PN’s coach Bojan Jovicic rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn’t help. Novi Pazar will meet Vojvodina NS in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tamis PN will play against Zlatibor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Metalac VL will meet Cacak 94 on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zdravlje will play against Spartak in Subotica and hope to win that game.
