Giessen 46ers overcame Jena in the test game on Wednesday. Stephan Haukohl (203-PF-1993, agency: LUMANI 10.7) nailed 26 points to pace the winners.
Giessen sank 25 points in the first period to eke out a one-point lead. They stretched the advantage at 6-point mark at the interval 45-39. Giessen maintained the lead throughout the third stanza. They held Jena to just 13 points in the quarter to secure a 7-point advantage. The 46ers drained 23 points in the fourth frame and raced to the win. Vuk Radojcic (2005) tossed in 15 points for Giessen. Justin Martin (199-F-1990, college: SMU) replied with 19 points for Jena. Jordan Barnes (179-PG-1997, college: Indiana St.) had 16 points in the loss.
