Stephane Gombauld (205-PF-97, agency: Slash Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for Nancy and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents ProB Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 24-year old power forward had a double-double of 28 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team was edged out by Rouen (#18, 3-9) 85-84. Nancy moved-up to the 3rd position in French ProB. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Nancy will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 8-4 record. Gombauld turned to be Nancy’s top player in his first season with the team. Gombauld has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in points (3rd best: 18.4ppg) and averages solid 1.2bpg and 64.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 23-year old swingman Elhadji-Digue Diawara (206-F/G-98) of Quimper. Diawara impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. It was enough for Quimper to edge the lower-ranked Denain (#13, 4-7) by 5 points 74-69. This victory allowed Quimper to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Diawara is a newcomer at Quimper and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Dominez Burnett (196-F-92) of Vichy Clermont (#10). Burnett scored 26 points and passed six assists. He was a key player of Vichy Clermont, leading his team to a 85-60 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Saint Vallier (#12, 5-7). Vichy Clermont needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 6 lost games. Burnett has a very solid season. In 11 games in France he scored 13.0ppg.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
