Newly promoted Vevey Riviera Basket (SBL) landed 25-year old American 188cm guard Mike Williams (college: Rutgers) for new season. Williams played most recently at Albany Patroons (TBL) in the U.S. In only one NBLCanada game he had 9 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal last season. He also played 25 games in TBL where he averaged 13.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg. Williams helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final.
He represented USA at the Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Germany (Unofficial World Championships U18) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 12.3ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.1apg, FGP: 33.8%, 3PT: 27.8%, FT: 84.6%.
Williams has played previously professionally in Jordan and United Kingdom (Storm).
He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
Williams graduated from Rutgers University in 2018 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
