BC Enisey Krasnoyarsk (VTB) landed 30-year old American 191cm guard Ian Miller (college: FSU) for upcoming season. Miller played most recently at Buyukcekmece Basketbol in Turkish BSL league. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 16 BSL games he averaged 13.6ppg, 1.1rpg and 3.2apg. Miller also played for Peristeri in Greek GBL where in 10 games he had 10.4ppg, 1.3rpg, 2.4apg and 1.0spg. He also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 8.2ppg, 3.0apg and 1.3spg.
Miller has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
He is a very experienced player. Miller has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in France (Cholet Basket, Gravelines Dunkerque and Chorale de Roanne), Israel (Galil Gilboa), Italy (Verona), Kazakhstan (Astana) and Greece (Promitheas).
Among many awards he won Kazakhstan League championship title in 2017. Miller received Eurobasket.com All-Italian LNP Gold Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-Italian LNP Gold Import Player of the Year award back in 2015.
He graduated from Florida State University in 2014 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
Miller’s game is described as:
A very good offensive player who can score lots of points. Has a quick-r eleased outside shot and attacka the rim well thanks to great leaping ability and good 1-vs-1 skills. His good ball handling and court vision allow him to play some time at the point. Has yet upside, and has shown improvements in each of his college seasons.
