Lukas Herzog
Newly promoted MLP Academics Heidelberg (BBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 20-year old point guard Lukas Herzog (187cm-78kg-2001, agency: Octagon Europe) for season 2022-2023. He has played for the last three seasons at MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the BBL. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. But in 38 BBL games he recorded just 1.8ppg and 1.1rpg last season. Herzog helped them to win the regular season. He also played 16 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged only 1.5ppg. Herzog contributed to his team making it to the Basketball Champions League Final Four.
He represented Germany at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Greece three years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 2.6ppg, 1.3rpg, 1.3spg.
Herzog has played previously for two other teams: Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg U19 team and BBA Ludwigsburg U18 team.
