Socar Petkimspor (BSL) landed 25-year old international 208cm center Ege Arar for new season. It is actually his comeback to Socar Petkim as he has played here before. Arar played most recently at Galatasaray (BSL). In 20 games he averaged just 2.2ppg and 2.2rpg last season. He helped them to make it to the Turkish Cup Semifinals. Arar also played 11 games in Basketball Champions League where he had only 1.6ppg and 2.3rpg. The last season he played at Socar Petkim. In 30 BSL games he recorded 7.8ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.6apg in 2020-2021 season.
He has been also a member of Turkish international program for some years. Arar has regularly played for Turkish senior team since 2020 and previously for U19 National Team in 2015.
He represented Turkey at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Ararlsinki (Finland) six years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 8.6ppg, 4.9rpg, FGP: 56.3%, FT: 40.0%.
